At Abode Co-living Killarney all of our residents live in self-contained apartments. Each apartment has its own kitchen with dining area, bathroom, shower room, and bedrooms that are twin, single and double. The great thing about co-living is that you can lean in as much or as little as you want!

Killarney has an abundance of great restaurants and bars, not only in the town centre but also on the outskirts. We have outlined a few of our favourites below but check out Killarney.ie for a more extensive list that caters for all tastes.

  • The Golden Nugget – This is located at the bottom of the hill. A typical Irish pub that serves pub grub. Also shows all major sports on large televisions.
  • Rozzers Restaurant – This is a seasonal restaurant located in the Killeen House hotel nearby to Abode. This family run hotel has won various awards for its food. Please be sure to see their website for opening times before visiting.
  • Piccolo Pizza – This casual offering serves authentic Italian pizza in the heart of Killarney town. They also deliver. Contact 064 6638626 to avail of the 10% discount offered to Abode residents.
  • The Shire Bar & Café – Ollie and his team offer a unique experience in this Lord of the Rings inspired bar. You can get everything from a delicious breakfast or coffee in the café during the day, to one of their signature cocktails in the bar in the evening.
  • Genting Thai – A long standing thai restaurant in the heart of the town. This restaurant is a favourite amongst locals and visitors.

  • The Reeks Gateway is home to most of the general practitioners in Killarney. If you require medical assistance during regular hours, you can call the Deenagh Medical Practice on 064 6632205. However, if you require urgent medical assistance outside of these hours for example in the middle of the night, SouthDoc is an out of hours family doctor service, located in Killarney. They can be reached on 064 6650299. You can visit the centre, or they also operate house visits.
  • Hospital – The nearest hospital is in Tralee. This is called the Kerry General Hospital. 066 7184000.
  • Pharmacy – Kennellys Pharmacy is also located at the Reeks Gateway and is the closest to Abode.
  • Dentist – Killarney Dental Practice is located on New Street and can be contacted on 064 6632022.
  • Emergency services – 112/999

The nearest grocery shop is Foleys Service Station which is approx 2km or 3 minutes drive from Abode (see map). The next larger grocery shop is Lidl which is approx 4km away.

  • Bus Route – The 279A bus operates from the bottom of the hill into Killarney town a few times a day. To access the most up to date timetable, see buseireann.ie/timetables.
  • Car Rental – Budget Car Rental is located at the International Hotel in Killarney. Call the hotel on 064 6634341 for further information.
  • Go Car – For short term car rental (for example, one day), GoCar is a convenient service also. Please see Gocar.ie for further information regarding location and rental.
